Stock No 2560
English Oak carved fragment, circa 1480 to 1500. It is a section from a muntin which would most probably have had screen panels set into it. The upper section has three raised geometric diamond motifs set within a shallow pointed Gothic arch, below which are two flower heads. The lost section would probably have repeated this with the flower heads to the top. There has been some insect attack to the upper section which has partially destroyed the carving of leaf and bud spandrels to either side of the arch.
