Stock No. 2808
Pair of English Oak carved Portrait Panels, circa 1580. They are strikingly carved with a highly stylised angular representation of a man and a woman both set in roundels. They are both wearing headware typical of the Tudor period, and the roundels are surrounded by Renaissance motifs. They have been planed down for reuse in the nineteenth century, and have glue repairs to vertical splits.
