Infant’s Chair

This diminutive infant’s chair, circa 1820 – 1840 is a very rare survival being complete with its original retaining bar.  It has been constructed to a high standard with the back sticks being pegged to the shaped bow.  Equally the front arm supports are well shaped to receive the side supports, and the turned and shaped legs are secured with an “H” stretcher.  The seat is in figured Elm, and there are traces of original green paint
