SN 1212 Scottish Three-legged Dairy Stool

Original price was: £345.Current price is: £295.

A genuine piece of Scottish folk art, this 19th century dairy stool has lovely pokerwork decoration and the inscription” WHA DARE MEDDLE WI ME”.  This is a reference to the 16th century disputes between the “Border Reivers” involved in cattle rustling across the Anglo/Scottish border.  The pokerwork has the typical floral display of Thistles, the national emblem of Scotland.  The legs have apparently been gnawed by a dog at some time in the distant past!!
