SN 1216 Large Primitive Windsor Armchair
Large Primitive Windsor Armchair, circa 1780 1800. With its monumental proportions it has great presence, and was clearly made with a particular person in mind! It has a beautifully figured Elm seat above which is a three part arm bow with the front stick supports subtly ornamented to the top and bottom. The top rail of the back is made from a particularly carefully selected piece of timber with a lovely grain. One of the back legs is possibly a period replacement.
Dimensions: Height 115 centimetres, Width 68 centimetres, Depth 43 centimetres, Height to seat 41 centimetres
